Supply Chain Manager - Kongsberg Maritime
The Handling Business Unit in Kongsberg Maritime is a leading supplier of handling system technology within selected markets such as offshore, including offshore wind installation, naval, and research. The Business Unit is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations, and project delivery of high-quality, high-value products essential to our customer's operation of their vessels.
Our portfolio consists of specialized winches and handling systems, such as, but not limited to, replenishment at sea systems, anchor handling towing winches, position mooring, and launch and recovery systems. We provide systems with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, automation and digital capabilities. Handling is a growth segment for Kongsberg Maritime, both in traditional offshore markets and the emerging renewables and digital services markets where we are well positioned to take a leading role. We are operating across several sites in Norway and the UK.
To further develop our Supply Chain strategy, we are now looking for a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager!
Your Workday:
Our Supply Chain Manager will be part of a transformational journey towards an even stronger project organization and become a key resource in developing a secure and stable Supply Chain for the Handling business unit. A large part of the value in the unit, takes place in our supply chain, and there are significant projects with large procurement budgets that need to be delivered. In this role, you will have the freedom to think long-term while also acting on short-term opportunities. You will lead and build a team that will work together to strengthen the value chain and influence internal processes. You will be the natural link between the Supply Chain essential resources and the rest of the KONGSBERG system. We are targeting the best of industry Supply Chain, based on excellence, trust, and execution capabilities.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Supply Chain strategy for the business unit, in close collaboration with the VP product of the product lines
- Strategic leadership by developing our suppliers through solid partnerships
- Responsible for the development of the handling Supply Chain team
- Responsible for the procurement budgets, both department budget and in our delivery project.
- Focus on cross-functional collaboration to ensure proper involvement and engagement to achieve common goals
- An important contributor in two leadership groups, Handling and Global Supply Chain for Kongsberg Maritime
Who Are You?
We are looking for a leader who understands and sees the importance of a well-functioning Supply Chain. You have a good understanding of change management and want to be a guiding star for the rest of the team. We seek a strategically oriented leader who works well with the team and can find great value and opportunities in good collaboration across team Handling. In this role, effective communication and clear leadership are necessary to achieve the department's targets. To succeed in this role, you do likely have international management experience from similar roles. You are systematic by nature and confident in making decisions. At least a relevant bachelor's degree in fields such as, but not limited to, Supply Chain, Project Management or Logistics is essential.
